By default, the newest version of WordPress is pretty darn secure. The development team of WordPress has considered anything which may have been added to some fix hacked wordpress site plugins. Before, WordPress did have holes but now most of them are stuffed up.
After spending a couple of days and hitting a few spots around town, I eventually find a cafe that offers free, unsecured that site Wi-Fi and to my pleasure, there are a ton of folks sitting around daily connecting their laptops to the"free" Internet services. I use my handy dandy cracker tool that is Wi-Fi and sit down and log myself into people's computers. Bear in mind, they are all on a network.
It represents a necessary task while it's an odd term . We're not simply being obsessive-compulsive here: servers go down every day, despite their claims of 99.9% uptime, and if you've had this happen to you, you know the panic is it can cause.
Note that you should only try this step for setups. You will also have to change of the table names within the database if you might like to do it for existing installations.
Do not use wp_ as a prefix for your databases. Web hosting providers are currently removing that default but if yours doesn't, fix wp_ to anything else but that.
